In this article, I will be analyzing key themes in selling your brand in 2025. As I have previously written about reasons to try new brands, which you can read here, successfully selling your product starts with getting recognized. WiserNotify has recently compiled a list of intriguing data about branding from the start of the year to now. Out of the 51 statistics, there are two that I would like to discuss in this blog: 50% of consumers are more likely to buy from brands they recognize and that a signature color increases the chances of consumers recognizing a brand by 80%.
These two statistics are intertwined when it comes to brand recognition, a need to stand out. I have seen these statistics firsthand, especially with the brand of healthy pasta, Banza. With many people changing their eating habits in recent years to switch to healthier brands, including me, Banza has done a great job with finding ways to close sales. Their pasta comes in a bright orange box with large white text that displays their name and how much protein is in their pasta. Keeping the two statistics in mind, even though Banza has a product that is more expensive than most other pastas, many consumers are choosing Banza because it's recognizable and aligns with a healthy lifestyle.
It's important to analyze brands that have found success by sticking out with their brand and its colors because of how simple it is to replicate it. Brands need to begin strategizing about what they want consumers to think about when their brand comes to mind. Just like with Netflix's red, upper-case N or with Banza as we have discussed, these brands have solidified what they want to be pictured as in the minds of consumers. To conclude, whether you have a brand or are thinking about designing one, don't forget about how crucial it is to have a signature color.
